Amate Books, Alcalá #307, 516-6960, was started in 1995 when proprietors Henry and Rosa Wangeman began to feature books on Mexican folk art in their crafts store. Amate Books moved into its own space in 1999 and today has more than 7,000 tiles on Mexico and Latin America.
